Alpha sizes
XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and beyond. The familiar choice for fashion, athleisure and casualwear.
Custom clothing size labels
Choose a size system your customer recognises, a material that suits the garment and a placement your production team can repeat. We make standalone size tabs, combined size-and-care labels and ready-stock sets for Indian brands.
Start with the system
The best size tab is not the fanciest one. It is the one a customer, warehouse picker or uniform coordinator can identify in a second. Match the label to the way the garment is sized everywhere else.
XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and beyond. The familiar choice for fashion, athleisure and casualwear.
28–48, 34–44 or your own run. Best for trousers, school uniforms, formalwear and measured fits.
0–3M through 14Y, with optional height or weight bands. Designed for parents and retail staff to scan quickly.
M / 40, L / 42 or UK / EU equivalents. Useful when one garment is sold across marketplaces or export channels.
Use our free label designer to start from a size-tab layout, choose a fold and enter the exact finished dimensions. You can add your logo, a size run or a small collection code, then send the specification for a production quote.
Practical formats
A small, crisp and durable tab for a premium neck label or side seam. Best when the size is the only message.
Soft against skin and excellent for tiny type, size charts or a size + care combination.
A natural, matte finish for linen, handmade, organic and heritage collections.
An economical workhorse for care-and-size layouts, uniforms and high-volume runs.
Production guide
A neat size tab only works if the pack count, placement and garment spec agree. Send the breakdown with your order and we will sort the finished labels by size so the sewing line does not have to separate them by hand.
Stock or custom
Many collections pair a custom neck label with a simple size tab. If you need a standard alpha or numeric run quickly, ready-stock size labels keep the process lean. If the label needs your logo, colour, special size system or a combined care layout, make it custom.
From our portfolio
A few woven centre-fold examples from our portfolio: alpha, numeric and dual-size tabs, each designed to stay easy to read on the sewing line.
Practical answers on size systems, materials, placement, packing and custom artwork for clothing labels.
Use the system your customer already understands: XS–XXXL for most fashion, 28–48 for trousers and uniforms, age bands for kidswear, or a dual system such as M / 40 when you sell across markets. Keep the same system across the neck label, hangtag and product listing.
Yes. A custom size tab can carry a size, a small logo, a country-of-origin line, a colour marker or a collection code. For high-volume functional tabs, ready-stock alpha and numeric sets are often the faster option.
Most brands place it at the centre-back neck alongside the brand label. Side seams work well for care-and-size combinations; waistbands and inner pockets suit trousers, uniforms and tailored garments. The placement should be easy to find without rubbing the wearer.
Woven damask is durable and premium for a small standalone size tab. Printed satin handles small type and soft neck contact well. Cotton is a useful choice for natural or heritage garments, while taffeta is economical for care-and-size information.
Yes. Share the size breakdown, for example XS 40, S 120, M 220, L 180 and XL 80. We can pack each size separately and label the outer packets so your production team can issue them without recounting.
It can, but it does not have to. A matching woven tab looks considered for premium collections. A simple, contrasting size tab is often easier to read at the sewing line and faster to reorder.
Yes. Keep a common run for styles with the same fit logic. Where the fit changes materially, such as denim versus oversize knitwear, use a distinct system or include a secondary measurement so the customer is not misled.
Send the size run and quantities, a photo or sketch of the placement, the finished tab size if you know it, material preference and whether you need stock or custom artwork. A spreadsheet is ideal for larger runs.
Yes. In the Labelwala designer, choose a size-and-number layout or start from a blank tab, set the finished size and fold, then add your size code, logo or collection detail. The resulting specification can be sent to our team for production advice and a quote.
Not always. A small standalone size tab is clearest when it sits at the neck. For uniforms, kidswear and value-focused collections, size and care information can share one printed label when there is enough space for both to remain readable.
