Three schools.
15,000 labels. One delivery.
A Hyderabad uniform stitcher won a tender to supply three schools for the new academic year. 15,000 labels in total: three crests, four house colours per school, and personalised name tabs for ~5,000 students. Standard suppliers wanted 6 weeks; the academic session started in 4.
The challenge
Three different crests, four house colours each, 5,000 personalised name tabs, and the labels had to survive 200+ school laundry cycles per garment. Plus skin-safe for Class 1 to Class 12 students.
What we did
Locked thread shades to each school account day 1. Built a single bulk damask run for the crests (cheaper unit price), then ran personalisation in three batches by school. Student lists ingested as CSVs, per-name preview sent before bulk. All 15,000 dispatched in three school-tagged cartons.
High-density damask weave
Built for 50+ wash cycles.
Personalised name tabs
5,000 student names from CSV imports.
School-tagged cartons
Three separate boxes, one delivery.
The result
All three schools opened the new session with branded uniforms. Stitcher won the next year's tender too: same recipe, no re-quoting. Re-orders now run as a standing slot every June.
"We almost lost the tender because nobody could deliver in 4 weeks. The school-tagged cartons saved us a day of sorting at our end."
